The South Colonie 15 year old team completed one of the most amazing and exciting come backs ever to win the Mid-Atlantic 15 year old regional championship tournament held in Saugerties, NY.
Trailing 11 -4 in the bottom half of the 7th inning, South Colonie showed grit, patience and completed the comeback with a 2 out grand slam walk off home run to win the title.
It is the first Mid Atlantic Regional Championship for South Colonie and the team will now participate in the Babe Ruth League 15 yr old World Series in Longview, WA. All travel and housing expenses for the team will be paid by Babe Ruth League.
Congratulations to S. Colonie who have won a bid into a World Series tournament to old fashion way ....... THEY EARNED IT! |
